Do Not Give In To Fear

fear-quotes-1

Happy Friday!!

I hope everyone has had a  great week.

This week I want to talk about fear.Fear can manifest in different forms. Some types of fear are logical while others are not. This week I was confronted by situations that incited fear within me regarding certain aspects of my life. The cool thing though, is that throughout the week, I was beautifully drowned by various scripture and devotionals that reminded me not to be fearful. It was almost like God reassuring me that I did not need to have fear.

Fear can be crippling and can stunt your growth. We have all been in situations where we stayed way too deep in our comfort zone. This can be fear of new opportunities, friendships/relationships, business ventures, ideas, challenges etc.Think about how many time you have talked yourself out of something simply because of fear. What’s the worst thing that could happen if you just tried something?

I am here to remind you that as children of God, we are instructed numerous times to never give in to fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”Remain steadfast in your faith and do not allow fear to control you or influence your life.

Thank you for reading!

Love,

Ruth

  1. Thanks for sharing Ruth! I for one have experienced both reasonable and unreasonableness fear multiple times in my life and it is a constant battle to align ones thoughts with the thoughts of God. Fear is a spirit. It’s not just a character flaw. Sonwe have to address it as such and seek God’s help to rid of it. It’s not of God and does stunt our growth like you said. Most of the prophets/Apostles in the Bible only became so anointed on the otherwise of fear. Thanks for Sharing 😊
