Making it count!

Hello and Happy 2018 to everyone.I hope the year is shaping up to be a great one so far for all of you.

It’s been a while since I blogged, partly due to technical difficulties, laziness and trying to coast by in life. However, here I am.Better late than never. The end of 2017 was a mixture of excitement, anxiety and looking forward to what the new year had in store. The beginning of 2018 was somewhat rough, but I am thankful for everything nonetheless.

I wanted to approach this year differently than years past.I ditched the resolution making and stuck to a list of 5 goals that I will incorporate into my daily life.I also decided that 2018 was the year I was going to “BE OPEN”.Open to new things, experiences, challenges, relationships etc.I figured having an open mindset will allow me to see things differently, and perhaps enjoy a better quality of life.So that’s my magic phrase for 2018.

Being open, also translates into my faith which is primarily what this blog is about. I am open to seeing Christianity and faith through different lenses.I believe there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to faith. There is so much we can learn from others. The most important thing is that we love the Lord our God with all our hearts and love our neighbors as we love ourselves. (See Matthew 22:37-40)

How is your 2018 going so far?Is there anything you plan on doing differently?Do you have  a magic phrase/slogan/word?How do you plan on living your best life this year?I’d love to hear from you.

As always, thank you for reading.Your readership means a lot to me!

Lots of love,

Ruth
