If I had the power to change one law.

If you had the power to change one law, what would it be and why?

If I  had the power to change one law,I would make education free and accessible for all.I think everyone should have access to free education.Nowadays, college is so expensive that students either have to opt out or take huge student loans.I think making college free would allow everyone to have an opportunity to advance their education,if they so wish.

  1. I like this law. After high school I got married but I still had the hope to go to college, and I got accepted to Princeton. The had places for married people back then a little ways from campus but it was so expensive I knew I couldn’t up and move my family for the price it was. This was in the late 90s and early 2000s. Education is important, but having a life and family is to and I couldn’t do both so I chose my family and I will never regret that. Just sad I missed the opportunity to go to my dream school because there was no way I could afford it on minimum wage paychecks. If they had more educational grants and scholarships to help fund education that would be amazing as well. I know everyone needs to get paid but it would have been nice to have the best of both worlds.

    1. Hi Jennifer, thank you for your comment.I’m sorry you missed out on the opportunity to go to your dream school.I’m also glad you chose your family. They are all we have at the end of the day! You’re right, I wish there were more grants and scholarships.I think free education should be a basic human right.
